Wave Pants (and shorts)
This was one of my first cut and sew projects at Tactics which became a foundational element in our seasonal collections - the Wave Pant. An easy-wearing, drawstring waist pant with some thoughtful design details and innocuous branding.
The fit: Relaxed straight leg with flatlace cords at bottom hems. I engineered unisex grading for all of our bottoms. This pant was offered in XXS-XXL and was purchased by humans of all gender identity.
Fabric: Prints, corduroy, cotton ripstop, canvas, twills and sashiko.
Features: Taffeta-lined faux double knee panel. I added an internal taffeta panel at the front knees. This was a performance feature based on user insights. When your pants get sweaty, they stick to your knees and reduce mobility.
